A differenza dei motori standard, un modello antideflagrante è progettato con una carcassa ultra-robusta. La sua funzione principale è doppia: da un lato deve essere in grado di contenere un’eventuale esplosione interna senza che questa si propaghi all’esterno; dall’altro, deve mantenere temperature superficiali rigorosamente controllate per evitare che il calore diventi una fonte di accensione per l’atmosfera circostante.

The choice of the correct motor strictly depends on the “Zone” in which it will be installed. European regulations classify environments based on the likelihood of an explosive atmosphere occurring.
